The review of the active labor market policy during the period 2014-2020, the highlighting of its main characteristics and the tracing of the assessments of its effectiveness allows for the synthesis of a series of conclusions, which may be useful, both as scientific knowledge of our most recent history, and for the institutions, which are directly engaged in the elaboration of the policy and are responsible for its implementation. The active labor market policy during the period 2014-2020 as reflected by the strategic documents in the field of raising employment on the labor market in Bulgaria and the reduction of unemployment is systematized from the standpoint of several criteria: firstly, according to its adequacy with regard to contemporary problems of the economy and of the labor market and according to its consistency and continuity in view of the strategic objectives and tasks set forth by the main programming documents as well as in comparison to the preceding programming period (2007-2013); b) the dynamic of the main active policy indicators (number of persons encompassed by different programs, number of persons that have worked under said programs, allocated resources); c) the changes in the dynamic and structure of the main labor market parameters (economic activity, employment, unemployment); d) individual assessments made by participants in it, reflected by various sociological studies.
