Summary
This volume brings together various topics of traditional ritual and beliefs, some problems related to them, and approaches to their scientific analysis. The extensive geographical scope of the research provides grounds for comparing the phenomena on a broader basis, and the inclusion of different cultural layers (starting from the most ancient and reaching the time of modern society) allows the processes to be traced in depth. Taken together, the studies published here reveal the dynamics of the phenomena relating to Bulgarian traditional culture, the unity of this culture, its rich diversity and its colorful mosaic within the framework of the general. The different approaches of the authors and the tools used by the scientists to successfully solve the tasks they set make it possible to penetrate the psychological, customary law, semantic, linguistic, sociological, culturological and, of course, ethnological side of the phenomena, in order to reveal a more comprehensive and more convincing part of the essence of Bulgarian traditional culture.
