The collection presents for the first time the Akar folklore prose in its entirety, its richness and diverse themes, plots and motifs. It was created by Associate Professor Evgeniya Mitseva as a result of many years of research work. It includes 439 folklore prose texts, recorded by 200 people, men and women of different ages in 31 villages. The texts address the contemporary state of folklore in the Sakar region. They are grouped into two sections - fairy tale and non-fairy tale prose. The historical and ethnographic explanations that the author makes contribute to their understanding and comprehension in the light of folklore culture.
